Target denim leggings?

I stopped by my local target tonight on a reconnaissance mission. I hadn't planned to buy anything, but these were on clearance

http://www.target.com/p/mossim.....A-14226361

for $8. I couldn't bear the thought of missing them, so I bought both the teal and the black. I bought 2-3 sizes up so they're not so skinny, and will take K/R pics tomorrow.

But does anyone know:
a) do they shrink when washed the first few times? (they're 98% cotton, and I'm worried that they might.. this is one of the reasons I buy used clothes - they're their actual size then...)
b) do they grow with wear? Can I expect them to bag out over the course of the day?

Also, do you see this sort of jean (tone-on-tone snake print) as still reasonably "in" next fall, or are they on their way out?

K/R Goodwill guilt

I visited goodwill last night, intending to check out shoes, and came home without shoes but with some new clothes. They're returnable for 2 days - which should I keep, which return?

#1-3 Gray jeans - they're baggy and slouchy, and I like the way they feel, but the back view gives me pause...

#4-5 Orange jean jacket (the color in 5 is more true)

#6 a flowy white vest

#6-7-8 a black dress. I'm imagining it for winter, with booties and a bright jacket (like my houndstooth one here).

#9-10 white jeans, slouchy and baggy - better rolled or unrolled? (And are they too short? If so, does rolling "fix" them?) (also seen in #4)

I'm excited about these finds, but for some reason the guilt factor is also high. After all, I was shopping for shoes - I don't need clothes (though white jeans have been on my list for a while - I don't know how to keep them white) Those $1 each piece sales always get me...

K/T: White boyfriend jeans? (posting and running)

Picked up these bleached white jeans at Clothing exchange. They're very distressed (I'm thinking probably bleach-damaged), and I'll put white patches behind the holes if I keep them. Here they are over white long underwear.

They're quite big on me - I was going for the "boyfriend jeans" look, but I don't think I nailed it. They just barely stay up.

Is this how the fit is supposed to be for boyfriend jeans? I think they're probably actually mens jeans, but I was attracted to them for being white and looking rate (especially with the uneven rolling in the pics - sorry!)

What do you think? What needs to change fit-wise to achieve the proper baggy/slouchy/boyfriend jeans look?

I like them because thy make me think of an olden-days painter. Like Mr. Popper of Mr. Popper's Penguins (the book, not the movie). But that's a silly reason to like an item of clothing, and I won't keep them if you don't think they work.

Altering new sweater - your thoughts?

I stopped by goodwill the other day, and was completely smitten by this sweater(#1).

So it came home with me (it was only $1!).

But it's cut weird - the "Kimono sleeves" were attached to the body, and the whole silhouette looked a bit weird.

So I ripped into it, thinking to give it sleeves more like this sweater.

I have it done, but I'm skiddish to actually cut off the extra. Here's what it looks like (sleeves are bunchy and twisting because I haven't cut off the extra fabric - they'll be smooth). Should I chop, or put it back the way it came?

And I'm posting and heading to bed, so I'll check in the morning to see you you think. G'night all!

K/R Thrift store finds

I had what seemed to me a pretty successful thrift store shopping yesterday: Two pairs of skinnies, boots, three sweaters (probably overboard there) and a long white tuxedo top!

The skinnies are returnable, so I'm posting a K/R on them.

And I'm showing you the boots, because I'm excited about them. The others are in the laundry, so you'll have to wait until I actually wear them to see. (I'm on team wear, so I doubt it'll be too long!)

#1-3 red skinnies. They fit pretty well (are they too body-con?), and they're awfully bright... I'm reminding myself that this shade is in for spring, and I could dye them darker come fall, right? If I keep them, they would replace three (count-em) pair of not-ideal red pants taking up space in my closet, and not getting worn. Do you see anything that should make these a no? (I'm pretty inexperienced at seeing this type of stuff, so don't be shy).

#4-6 black skinnies, to replace the pair that I've been wearing (which has a too-tall rise and fraying hem). They too, seem to me like they fit well (I do see the muffin top I have going on, yikes). And they're comfy. I don't *think* they're super body-con, but would be returning them if they were - are they?

Finally, some boots that I found. They were final sale, and not super cheap ($16), but I liked them instantly, and they fit and are comfy. I'm guessing that these will eventually be a lesson in you-get-what-you-pay-for, because these are definitely not quality boots. Still, I'm super excited about them, and will wear them while I save up for the perfect boots. Your thoughts? I think they're a little bit UWP.

Should I keep the two pair of skinnies? Or one or the other?
