K/R Snake Print Skinnies from Target ETA: link for pic of print

These are the "jean leggins" I got from Target on clearance yesterday. They're 2 (#1) and 3 (#2, #3) sizes up from my normal, so they fit more like skinnies than jeggings, I think. (I hope).

What do you think? How do they fit? Do they deserve a place in my closet? I'm surprised at how solid they read - the print really is quite subtle.

They're totally returnable, and probably at least one pair or the blue (#1 and #3) should go back.

#1 is teal snake-print, 2 sizes up.
#2 is black snake-print, 3 sizes up.
#3 is teal snake-print (same as #1), but 3 sizes up.

ETA: They are these http://www.target.com/p/mossim.....A-14226361

I love them on you! Seriously, you look amazing in skinny jeans/pants. You have gorgeous long, straight legs.

I prefer them 1 size up as shown in #1. #1 and #3 look like the same pants but in different sizes, what is #2, the leggings in a different color? If so, I definitely prefer the blue pattern.

BTW I had a pair of Target legging jeans that I loved and wore to the ground. I too got them a size up.

Yes - sorry for the lack of explanation!

    #1 is teal snake-print, 2 sizes up.
    #2 is black snake-print, 3 sizes up.
#3 is teal snake-print (same as #1), but 3 sizes up.

    I'll go edit the post.

II like the smaller fit too. But I think much of that is just preference. Which do you like best? I think the teal is great, but would you consider keeping both?? The black could be very useful.

I like the smaller better, too, but I'm concerned about the bunching at the knees... IDK, something is not quite reading as slouchy in the right way. Is it a thin denim?

I like #1 the best as well, but also noticed the bunching at the knees. You have great legs for skinny jeans. Frankly, I'd like to see what they'd look like in your actual size.

I think the first pair is the best of the lot--the smallest size. I'm not crazy about the wrinkling though. I think it is a combination of the loose fit and the fabrication. Have you tried the Fit 3 skinnies in the regular denim? I've had those for several years and really like them. They are skinny but not skin tight and don't seem to wrinkle as much as the lighter weight denim.

I like #1 the best, but agree with the others, they might look even better in your actual size. I think they fit more like actual jeans, and perhaps your regular size would fit more like skinnies.
The print is hard to see, but t like the teal. Could you photo a close-up of the print?

You're right, they do bunch at the knees - they're a thin denim, and they were out of my size. (I would have tried just one size up, but they were out of those too).

And I do like the looser silhouette, but am leaning toward return, at least on the bigger two.... They're not quite the right fit for "slouchy skinny"?

  • teri replied 11 years ago

they all seem a tad too big for a skinny jean.

I think the high amount of stretch in the lighterweight denim is causing a little bunching. My gut response is that one up from you usual size will give you a "relaxed skinny" look, and I love the blue. If they're not in your store, you could order them. When you return the really big ones, you could ask if they give you free shipping for ordering the size you need from the store (instead of by computer at home).

You have the most amazing legs!
