K/T hot-summer tee

In my recent casual hot-weather wardrobe post, I mentioned that I had a few tops that were so far unworn.  This is one of them.

I love the color - it's why I bought it.  Dark red is one of my very favorite colors on me.

However, this has a very dramatic hi-low hemline, and I wonder if it's too much drama for me.  Also, the sleeves are neither tank-top nor sleeved.  Maybe these are cap sleeves?  I feel like it makes my arms look fat....

I wore it today, and the tissue-weight knit was very cool and comfy - I was pleased.

What do you think? Is this top worth keeping?
(feel free to tell me to take a better pic - this one was in way less than ideal light)

Keep! And wear a lot! Color and style are very flattering on you. And your arms certainly don't look fat. :)

Keep! It looks great on you.

Great color on you. If the tail feels too out there for you, chop it off and hem it up.

I love! Great color and flattering...your arms are great, what are you talking about?

Keep! I love the cut of the arms, and you're arms look great (not fat!)
I love the colour on you too.

Keep! It isn't too much drama and once you wear it out and about once you will love it. Your arms look fat? I think sleeveless is often more flattering than short sleeves, but your arms look terrific regardless.

I like everything about this top. You can definitely take the dramatic high-low with your height. Great color, great neckline. And your arms look great!

I like it on you. The way you styled it with the jeans and shoes is really cute, and flattering.

So, are you getting the message? :)
I love it.  Do you have long white shorts or capris?  Would be great with something like that too.

I love it too, and your arms do not look fat :)  At all.

Add another vote to 'Keep'. You look super cute

Really cute. If it were me, I'd like the back of this top just a bit shorter, but I think it definitely works.

    Cute-so keep!:-)

Keep it!  It's such a pretty color on you, and your arms look great!

  • Brooklyn replied 3 years ago

Definitely keep. What were you thinking? :)

  • Suz replied 3 years ago

    It's fabulous on you! Keep!

  • Daria replied 3 years ago

It's great! Not too dramatic at all, as long as you keep bottoms simple - like white jeans for example.

Thanks everyone!  I guess it stays :)  I'm glad to have the variety it adds to my summer colors (almost all my other tops are blue).

Keep and wear. If you feel that the long back is too dramatic, you could shorten it a bit. I doesn't look too long You probably just need to wear it and let your eye adjust.

Oh my gosh - this is great!  Absolutely perfect color for you and the neckline is gorgeous against your skin.  Also - the sneakers are fab!

This is a definite keeper!  Looks great on you and is a unique find!

I would keep it and wear it!  I love the color on you especially. As for the length, if you feel there is too much drama, or if people in NE just won't "get" it, I would shorten it and hem it (I believe you can sew, if I remember correctly).

It looks good to me.  Summer tops can be sort of plain and the hi-low hem makes it interesting.

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

No way is this too dramatic for you. This is spot on.

  • jackiec replied 3 years ago

Yep, looks great! And as others have said, if the length bothers you just chop it. But I like it :)

  • Aida replied 3 years ago

Love it on you, you can totally rock that drama. If the sleeve shape is bothering you, there's always the option of taking in the outsides so it's a more traditional sleeveless strap shape. If you do that I think it'll veer further down the casual spectrum.

The comfort /drama ratio is too individual for me to weigh in on but, your arms don't look fat, the color is fantastic on you, and your hair looks great.
