New color combos

Trying out blush with tomato and white today - a coloring pairing that I remembered from this post, and also saw on a stylish friend a couple of weeks ago.

In my case, it's my new blush sweater, with a white button-down underneath and tomato jeans.  Cream oxfords to bookend the lighter tops.

I'm not sure it works - does it?

(Pardon the undone hair and make-up.)

This colour combination is fresh, fun and looks great on you.  Totally works. (I think your hair looks cute parted the other way, too!)

Love Amy! Question - how does it look if the collar shows?

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Oh my...I'm loving this to bits Amy! Absolutely gorgeous on you. You need to wear this often!

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

Thanks Sue - this particular white top has a mandarin collar.  But I did just get a white shirt with a real collar, and I'll try that too.  It's just quite warm today so I wanted a cool top under the sweater.

Love it, Amy!  The proportions are just right and the look is fab -- I think the color pairing works well for your style!

I am going to try this with my new blush tops, burgundy skinnies and grey oxfords... or the rose gold converse... not sure my pant/shoe combo will work as well as yours but am going to try!

This is a favorite color combo of mine so I might be a weeeee bit biased but I LOVE this, Amy! Especially with the white tennies. Super cute.

One of my very favorite color combinations! Such a fresh look for spring.

  • kellygirl replied 10 years ago

Gorgeous! One of my faves that you have posted:) well done!

  • pil replied 10 years ago

    Does it work?? Absolutely!!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Wow, this is completely stunning on you, Amy! SO fresh and spring like. It reminds me of Angie's outfit at our gathering -- her tomato red coat and blush sweater with white shirt peeking out. Fantastic!

  • dustt replied 10 years ago

love me some red pants - now where is my blush sweater ( as I throw thinks around in the closet)!!

Amy - where are those nude strappy flats you had on the other day.... they would look great with that!!

  • Peri replied 10 years ago

I really like that, you look great!

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

Perhaps a sign of my ylf addiction:  dustt - I don't recall having nude strappy flats.  So rather than go look in my closet, I look through my past several posts.  Nope, still don't recall having nude strappy flats, lol.

Now to look in my closet to see if your memory is better than mine :)

  • Golden replied 10 years ago

    I like it!  Looks great.

  • dustt replied 10 years ago

they were a nude pointy flat with little straps on the side - from your "everyday outfit yesterday.....

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

OH!  Those!  Haha!  Those are sparkly cream irl.  And it makes me realize that my feet are pale enough that cream really is nude for shoes for me.

Somehow when I read what you wrote, I interpreted it as nude strappy sandals, not flats.  And I was picturing gladiator sandals in nude.  Wish I had a pair, but don't :)

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

Well I absolutely love this on you and also like your "undone" hair. A lot!

  • dustt replied 10 years ago

I'm pretty pale myself this time of year amy - so cream is nude for me too sometimes!! - actually in the dead of winter ice blue is closer to nude!! -

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

You and me both dustt!  Now that it's spring, I'm finally wearing my jeans WITHOUT long underwear!

  • AJ replied 10 years ago

Wow, this is a great outfit! My fashion wheels are turning as to how I can recreate this color combo. :)

  • E replied 10 years ago

It definitely works on you! I love blush & tonal colour combinations. :)
