Sneaker feedback?

I love the sneaker look - especially the converse and slip-on sneaker versions of it.  I think they fit with my tomboy style.

But now I have too many.  Six pair (as well as one around-the-house slip-on style sneaker, and way too many more espadrilles and canvas loafer type shoes).

Would you mind telling me which ones are the best to keep?

#1 red plaid converse style
#2 light and dark blue slip on sneakers
#3 gray camo converse style (that don't require laces)
#4 cream converse style with a flat-form.  These are the preppiest of them all, but also the most comfortable due to the thick sole.
#5 black keds with a white sole
#6 black and white converse (that don't actually match, but you can't tell from the pic)

I'm really not sure which ones, if any, should stay or go.   #2 is so far unworn - but I just added  them last week - making me notice that I have so many.  #6 and #1 haven't been worn recently, but numbers 3-5 have, and I suspect I could wear and enjoy #1 a lot this fall...?

Actually, I like them in the order they are in - 1 the most, 6 the least (because they look worn out). :)

    I really like 1, 3 and 6.

I think you are missing some sneakers...leather for colder weather. I probably would give away the camo pair but consider that I have a poison eye for that print. 5 and 6 are much alike, so you might eliminate one pair or store it away. These canvas sneakers don't stay pristine very long before being downgraded to dog walking and gardening.
I recently got a slip on pair similar to #2. Last week they got a full day of wear and were comfortable except for the top of my feet. They wore the tops raw so that I now need to wear big bandaides on top of my feet. Just say in'. I hope that you have better luck with yours!

Too many sneakers??? Never!!! I am a sneaker queen & have been for years. Before I ever get rid of sneakers i remove the laces & give everything a good machine wash. Then I let it all sit in the sun on my porch to dry so that any pair I might be retiring has it's best chance to smell lovely and look crisp. I say if they all complete different sorts of looks, why not keep them? Weed a few out at the end of the mild weather, maybe. And get rid of anything you just don't like.

Like thimblelina, I only retire certain sneakers when there is visible wear or yellowing because they wash so easily.   I also use a magic eraser gently on the white rubber parts if there is anything that doesn't come out in the wash (I put the sneakers inside an old pillow case and soak the laces separately).

That said I think the styles of #4-5 are maybe the most questionable for me, they don't skew sporty/cool to my eye.

I don't think you need to get rid of any unless they are too worn or uncomfortable.....you probably just need to not let any more in until you retire a pair or two.

Since plaid is having a moment I agree 1 will be well worn, and I also think 2 will be fun.  5 and 6 seem very similar but maybe one pair could be gardening, dog walking, painting and the other for more visible occasions.

I am not so keen on 3 but this is because I like laces when there are eyelets.  I know this is different to many forum members and maybe even Angie.

    My vote:
Keep 1 and 2.  Choose between either 3 or 4 - but don't keep both.  Ditch the black ones and keep your eye out for some new black ones.

I think all of these work for you stylistically -- and I like 2 and 3 best!  I'd edit by condition, which is hard to read from a single photo.  Sneakers can be RATE, but not worn out, if that makes sense.  I also think Joy is right -- with your style, you could use a leather pair -- maybe something like the Siebel Caspian.  I've seen lookalikes at DSW with good pricing.

I think only #5 look worn. The rest are keepers.

If I was gonna ditch any it would be 4 & 5. But honestly, I think they all are worth keeping and thinking #1 and #3 are super snazzy.

I think if you feel you have too many, then you have to get rid of at least one pair. 6 pairs take up space, both wardrobe and mental, and there are only 7 days in a week... any many other shoes you wear as well. But, I am Team Less IS More and have ditched a lot of my clothes this summer even though I have more wardrobe space than ever.

Keepers: 1, 3 and 6 (despite having poison eye for camo) :-)

    I agree with Ornella.
