WIW: Boxy over boxy

Today's ensemble came after I'd already opted to wear my boxy black/white sweatshirt.  I had planed to wear it was my cobalt cords, but the ensemble encouraged me to try it with jeans.   I added my rarely worn crisp white shirt underneath, and actually liked it pretty well.

(Looking at the photo makes me wish I'd pinned my collar closed at the neck)

What do you think?

The sweater and shirt look like a perfect pair, and the jeans are super cool!

I think it looks great! I don't think that the collar needs pinning, but I'm not up on styling crisp button-downs...the only one I have is a little *too* crisp and fights with anything I try to put on top of it!

I like the collar like this. And the whole outfit. That 80's sweatshirt was a FIND :) I think this is my favorite styling for it yet.

That's a great sweatshirt! The whole outfit totally works for me.

What a cool sweatshirt! I think this is a really good look for you, and practical, too.

I don't like the shirt under. It makes the sweater look stiff.

Great sweatshirt! I've found that I like closing the collar at the neck - I did it for my version of Angie's ensemble post and I think it looks unexpected and fun.

You nailed the boxy top and sweater. Well done.

Great look, amiable!! Oh, yes, do try it with the collar closed! I think it would add a pop of conservative structure against the block and boxy of the outfit! And perhaps give a mod-ish vibe?

I often look at the photos I have taken to give me a better perspective, and it's amazing how often I add, swap or delete an item of clothing or makeup!!

Love the sweater and I think the collar looks fine as is, but I can see how buttoning it will look a tad neater.
