WIW: cozy and belt-inspired

I pinned a look that was basically a caramel colored sweater with black geans, and I wanted to try it.  But my caramel colored sweater ended up really being more cream.  I noticed that it matched my faux burberry belt, and decided to bring in the other colors of the belt with booties, and a cardigan (though it's not quite cold enough for the cardigan, so I'll probably wear it without).  Does it work?  Is it soul-sucking beige?

Yesterday I was uninspired and went for black over dark denim with a flannel-shirt jacket.  It was very comfy :)

Thoughts?  Suggestions for improvement?

I really like the outfit in #1 - the cream shade is lovely on you and works so beautifully with the belt and boots. I'm not crazy about it with the cardigan though - I don't mind the shape of the cardigan but somehow the colours of the two sweaters don't work to my eye.

Flannel and sneakers? Perfect weekend outfit :)

Wow! Gorgeous outfit, and what a cutie hanging on your sleeve.
I love the belt and boots - those two items just take you ensemble to a whole new level.

Where does one get a faux burberry belt?

Merwoman - Goodwill, go figure.  The only identifying marks on it are a serial number of sorts "KH20169" and "Made in China".   It's leather-like, but not real.  (The back is fuzzy like suede, but the edges are plastic-coated and the front is plasticy.  The plaid pattern is printed on.)  It's quite cheaply made, and after only a few wearings, the plastic shows creases.  So I'm going to need to be careful with it if I expect it to make it more than one season.  Sad, because I really like the pattern.  :)

Ooh, I really like you in that shade of cream, and your soul remains un-sucked. I think the cables are the key to that sweater working so well on you. They keep it very interesting and approachable. I love that about texture, it's so friendly!

Your faux-burb-belt is a big hit, too bad it is not as hardy as we would wish. It really jazzes up the outfit, and so do your booties. Nice!

You look so comfy in the plaid outfit and your smile is so happy that I think you must be a very fun person to hang out with!

I really like outfit #1. I'm not as crazy about it with the cardigan but I love the simplicity without. And the belt really does add just the right touch.
