WIW: Daffy Down Dilly

Technically it's spring.  I saw daffodils in bloom.  But it's cold.  And snowy.  And gray.  And you've heard enough of my whining (besides, we're not buried in snow like you all up north...  just tired of it).

So I decided to dress like the daffodils that I saw in bloom yesterday.  I paid no regard to matching or how things looked together because I knew I was staying in all day.  I intended to change before we had guests over tonight, and ran out of time.  So they probably think I'm strange now, dressed like a daffodil.  Oh well.

By the way my new shoes, the $150 ones that I whined about, with the $35 insoles too, are terrific.  Every day I wore them, my feet felt better at the end of the day than the beginning (Not that they weren't tired and somewhat swollen, but my joints felt better).  They make me want to throw away almost all my other shoes (which I'm going to do).  How could I not have noticed how bad my feet hurt when I wear some shoes?

I love the colors -- absolutely adorable.

I am sure your guests thought you were the brightest thing in their day. When the weather won't cooperate, we have to take things into our own hands.

That is fantastic news about the shoes. It really does make a difference -- I believe that's one place that a lot of us just can't skimp, not if we intend to walk a lot or stand a lot, anyway. That was money very well spent.

Yay for comfortable shoes!! You look like a ray of sunshine.

The shoes were clearly money well spent :)  Some should dub you Queen Colour if they haven't already:)  This would be so way out of my comfort zone Amy but you look fabulous and it really does work for you.  It's 'declicious'.

Glad you decided to have fun with color, Amy!  I think the darker green in the scarf is brilliant!

This look is not weird in the least, and I hear you on the shoes.

Yay for colour, I think the combination is fun and happy.

One idea I had is to swap out the solid top for something with a print or pattern? Maybe a striped top or a white/cream tee with an orange graphic? (Lol, not the fruit ... unless of course you like oranges then that could work too!!)

I love how you tied the scarf. I think this is great, it would be way out of my comfort zone but these colours look excellent on you!

I think the colors look great on you and the scarf makes everything look intentional.  The colors may not "match" but the pairing looks intentional and that's what makes the outfit successful, IMO.

Love this colorful spring outfit - the details are great with the scarf, the belt peeking out and the fit of everything is fabulous.

So glad those shoes are making your feet happy. It seems only once we find the perfect pair that we realize just how uncomfortable some of our other shoes are.

You look fresh and springlike!  Yeah for comfortable shoes!  Worth every penny, IMHO  :)

I'm so happy to hear that your shoes are a success! I've had the same experience - a very expensive purchase turns out to be a wise decision after all. ( although it has been know to happen the other way around, too ;) ) Shoes should always be the best you can afford, in my experience. I rarely regret buying expensive ones, but I often regret the cheapies.

Your outfit is an ode to Spring, and you look great. Love the colors here.
