WIW: Dark floral

Feeling dark and moody after a strange weekend, and didn't want to wear my bright sunny floral shirt for InsideOutStyle's FABruary challenge.

So I chose a gray floral scarf instead, and paired it with dark wide-leg jeans, a gray tee and a black sweater. I like the combo, it suits my mood. (I'm wearing my 2 inch heels again too, with the round toes that I wish were almond shape. They're so comfy that I'm continuing to wear them while I look for a good replacement).

What do you think? Suggestions for improvement?

I think the colors and shapes look really nice on you. The only suggestion I would suggest trying is to lower the bottom of the black sweater by an inch or two so the band of grey is a touch narrower.

Love the wide leg on you. Your legs look a mile long.

What dianthus said - just a tad lower black top would make this even better. Other than that, it looks wonderful.

I agree -- other than that you look great. Hope you are feeling bright and cheerful again soon.

I often match my clothes to my mood, hmm I wonder how many of us do this? I hope things are back to the positive soon!

You look great. I agree about the band of the sweater, only a slight adjustment. Your legs look killer in those pants!

Perfect pant length! Agree with trying a longer top.

Ooooohh, I like the dark and mysterious look on you.....

Those pants are great.....you make me want some wide leg jeans now!

Thanks all! I'm not sure my sweater goes longer, but I can scrunch up the gray shirt a little to make it narrower (there's plenty of room to do so).

I find it interesting how pose affects my leg length. Here's a "fail" pic of the same outfit, taken moments before, same camera angle. It amazes me how stumpy my legs look here. Which means that when I move, probably my legs look mostly normal....

    Right?

OK -- your legs are still long, even with the "stumpy" pose. I find camera angles make a difference, too. I always look skinnier when I take photos at work.

Love the moody blues on you. I usually wear brighter colors to cheer myself up, and just listen to some Miles Davis or Mavis Staples.

I see no stumpy legs and love the moody blues.

Amiable - trust me you ave long legs no matter what camera angle you use. Thia outfit looks good & just needs to be tweaked as others have suggested by making the top layer longer.
