WIW: Drapey Grey with leggings

I'm in conference recovery mode, and mostly want to wear loungewear.  But I'm working too, so am trying to not actually wear pajamas all day long.

Today's outfit feels like loungewear, but I'm hoping looks better than that :)
It's new leggings (gray with a ruffled stripe) that I found being clearanced out and couldn't resist, under a new tunic from eShakti (gray crinkly knit, drapey and assymetrical).

This may be the first time in history I'm wearing an entirely brand-new outfit... whoa... minus shoes though.

Anyway, I like it pretty well - am I deluding myself?  I also had no idea what shoes to wear, so went with Birkenstock sandals.  I'm not sure they work, but I'm also pretty sure that most of my other shoes don't.  Maybe sneakers would?

I love it!! And wear the birks as much as possible while they are in. I like them with this outfit.

I love it too! The tunic is so cool - link?

I think it's a really cool outfit! Cannot comment on the shoes as I don't "get" Birks. :)

Thanks Jenny and Una and Daria!

Here's the link - I got it in crinkle grey, which seems no longer available.  This link is in black (and not crinkle, from the description).

Wow! This is fabulous on you Amy. I absolutely love the fit of both items and that tunic is fantastic on you.

Thanks everyone - even though I'm really comfy in how this feels, I'm weirded out by how it looks.  It's a big style departure for me.

I think it works on you Amy.  Have you tried belting and pulling up a bit to get a soft drape over the belt?  Maybe that would change the proportions enough to give you more comfort with the look.  Or maybe add a pendant.

I do like the look on you and you have the height to carry it off but maybe you need to play with it so you like it too.

Looks great Amy! I even like it with the Birkies. Could be dressed up with a fancy necklace and pumps; could work equally casual with, say, leather slip-on sneaks or Cons.

Wow Amy! This is a totally new silhouette for you - and it looks great!  I love the drapyness and monochromatic colour. Very arty!! How did your presentations go?

I bet you know what I think!  So fab.  Actually can you pack it all up and send it t me:)   Love this on you Amy.  Very cool.  Off to check out the link.  I need that tunic lol

Love this!  A huge change for you, but it looks really well.  Both the tunic and the leggings are gorgeous.

Love it all including the glasses for the artist at home look!

This looks comfortable and stylish. The grey color looks great with your hair.

Thanks Sue - the presentations went better than I expected, so that was a relief.  I ended up giving five in fact, all different, and four of them without a prior topic given (though it was all various aspects of my own work, so I knew the subject matter well).  I was completely exhausted, but pleased with how everything went.

And thank you Shevia, Deborah, Cheryl, Aida, Tanya and Joy - I think this will get a good bit of wear this spring, since it's super comfy, and pretty fun :)
