WIW: grey and burgundy

My new favorite color combo is black/white/cobalt.  I feel like I could wear it every day for weeks, and I'm itching to try out all sorts of iterations of it in my closet.  But I don't want to wear myself out on it - I want to savor it all winter long.  So I deliberately didn't want to wear anything like black/white and blue today.

Instead I chose grey and burgundy.  (Gray jeans, burgundy pullover and boots, silver watch for jewelry).  I like the combo fine, but I don't think my cognac belt is working.  What color belt would be better?  I don't have grey.  (Or maybe I should just carry a cognac bag to tie it in?)

What are your other suggestions for improvement?

I don't mind the cognac belt, but a bag might be nice to tie it in. I love the drape of your sweater and I think burgundy and grey is a lovely combo. You look great.

Do you have a darker belt that would tie with the shoes more?  I think the belt looks fine actually, I'm just trying to find a solution that would make you happier with the outfit.  I think the sweater looks great on you and like it with the grey jeans.

Nice!  The belt is fine, being one that doesn't carry a bag around for the most part of my day I don't add handbags to tie anything together.  I think this would look good with a navy belt or black belt tool, possibly even a red belt.

Super fab. You DO look great in burgundy. Nice boot bookending.

I don't have time to read much, but just wanted to say I love this. Clean, uncomplicated, interesting, pretty, and it shows how pleased you are. Wear and enjoy.

No worries with the belt -- it's enough of a neutral that it blends, I think.  I think you could use a dark brown belt for a lot of outfits, though, so you might keep your eyes open for the right one.  Love the color combo --- and the shoes are terrific.  You have a great knack for finding footwear that elevates your style, but fits your real life!

Great color combo. I'm watching with interest because I am working toward more combo's of grays and browns.
Ideally I would match the tone of the belt with the shoes more, with the burgundy being "cooler". I've used dark reptile (mixing brown and black) or a deep burgundy or of course matchy dark brown belt with shoes.
With the pants themselves, though, I think the cognac belt looks great and could work with lots of things--maybe try that with some other top colors that you already have.

Great look, love the bookending. I think the cognac works. Grey would work too.
