Lavender definitely works. Goes great with the shoes too. And jeans getting too big is good news isn't it?! :)

Thanks everyone! Daria - yes, it's good news, but only to a certain extent, since I've been intending to wear these jeans to a business conference where my company wants us to wear "nice jeans", and I want to look reasonably business-like. I thought these would fit the bill, but not if they're too big.
(As far as the reason they're too big - 17 pounds down, 10 to go! Woo hoo!)

Oh, I LOVE lavender with your red hair. It was one of my very favourite colours to wear with my own red hair. I still like it with the blonde but with red it is perfection.
And congratulations on the weight loss -- that is impressive and fantastic!! Good for you.

Your hair is a lovely color. I echo the others that say lavender works.

Oh, yes, this looks like a perfect shade of lavender for your hair colour. Very nice! I also like your specs colour with your hair. Big congratulations on the weight loss. Not easy to do over the winter. As someone who's been trending in the opposite direction, I'm impressed!

The lavender looks really good with your hair color! And congrats on the weight loss (but you don't look like you need to lose 10 more!).

What? If you were here I would say the only way you had 17+10 pounds to lose is from the rocks in your head. Not everyone would see that as a warm compliment it is meant as though. :-) Anyway, you look great and I love the red hair on you.

Ahh Shevia - you rock! I love that compliment :)
I set the goal at the beginning of the year - I'd wanted to lose 15 forever, but realized that I needed a bit bigger goal to motivate myself to put effort into it. So I researched ideal weight for my height with small bones (which I do have), and set my goal in the middle of that range. Since then I've been sort of doing my own version of Precision Nutrition to some extent (just from what I've read in their information and blog) - which really equates to being mindful of what I'm eating and working out (I started at 15 minutes per day, and am currently at a half hour per day). I don't know whether that last 10 will come off or not, and I don't mind whether it does - I feel good, and am at what my goal was a year ago :)

Amy, you look great in lavender. The color is lovely with your new hair, and the outfit looks relaxed yet polished. Congratulations on making your weight loss and fitness goals. I admire your perseverance and success!

Love the lavender on you and it works with you hair colour! Re the jeans, I think they are borderline too big. How do they feel? And congrats on your healthy choices. I smiled when I read this post because I put my white skinny jeans on today and thanks to my healthy choices since January, they now wear like boyfriend jeans lol.

Did you say 17 pounds?! Woah! That IS an achievement :-) And you look lovely .....your hair has grown and it is red now... wow! Feels like I was gone for ages!
The jeans might be a wee bit bigger. Do you think you can take them in?

LOVE the red hair with your specs Amy - so gorgeous on you. And the lavender shirt is beautiful with your new coloring.

The jeans look ok to me but it's a little hard to tell since I can't see the waistband. Can you wear a belt with them? I like the lavendar top and the silver shoes together. Nice outfit.
-
amiable replied 9 years ago
Thank you all! The jeans are being held up by a belt (and only the belt, lol!) - I'm more sensitive to the area at the back of the thigh and bottom - it looks overly baggy to me suddenly. These were too tight at Christmas.

Lavender and burgundy for the win. Works well.

Very cute color combo! I'd love to see you with some brow definition (a soft pencil job maybe) and a bit of lipstick to play up those features :)
-
amiable replied 9 years ago
Trekkie - this actually is with my brows filled in, haha :) (and mascara too) My lips only have lip balm though. And I'll see if perhaps I can do the brows up a little further next time - Thanks!
