WIW: Layered button-downs

From a thread a while back, I got the idea of wearing more than one button-down at a time. I tried it out today in the cold, using two silk button-downs to keep warm. (A red silk under a turquoise silk). So far, it's working reasonably well (of course, I put a space heater right next to me too....)

Does the combo work? I feel sort of like something is off, but I'm not sure what. I also wonder if black shoes and belt would have been a better choice than leopard - I think probably so.

Suggestions?

It looks a little tight on top, and the sleeves look a little short to me? What do they look like untucked?

    Here it is untucked.

Thanks for pointing out the sleeves and tightness! When I got it it was too big by a bit. So I washed it. I didn't even notice that it had shrunk this much!

Easy ways to reduce my closet I guess -- unless I keep it for sleeve scrunching and/or layering. Hmm...

I like it untucked! I think tucked in it was looking that it was tight due to the sheen on the silk. Sleeves are a bit short, but you could scrunch them, or make the shirts into silk shells for summer!

Ooh - silk shells for summer! You are brilliant. This is so happening - probably soon.

I love it untucked! I'd also try unbuttoning the top one! Big fun!!

I like it untucked and the colour combination is fab.

Oh yes another vote for untucked too. Great colours.

Untucked is way better - probably undo another button as MaryK said and scrunch the sleeves as Ceit suggested.
