WIW: recovering from vacation (and K/T)

Back from our family road trip (from Nebraska to the Virginia coast), and had a wonderful time.

Now it's time to recover :)

I did have a packing post, but at the last minute before leaving, it got hot, so I added a bunch of warm-weather clothing, and was glad that I did - it was most of what I wore.

Since returning, I've realized that most of my clothes from last summer aren't things that I want to wear this year, so I have a shopping list!

Here's what I've worn since returning, and some Keep/Toss questions:

#1 wearing today: silky track pants that aren't at all slouchy. Keep or Toss these? They have cargo pockets, and drawstring bottoms. Do they look current?  Should I keep or toss?  How to style them?  (Worn with black and white woven tee that was a vacation workhorse, but will likely only last this season).  These sandals are needing to be replaced quite badly.

#2 blue and studs with black jeans, rolled.  I would have liked this better with baggy jeans, I think.  And I kind of think the studs make this top dated.  Do they?

#3 boyfriend jeans with chevron striped top.  I liked this combo.  These boyfriends are wearing out though.  I'll miss them.  The top, too, is starting to pill already, so will probably only last this season.

#4 burgundy jeans with slouchy light weight sweater (cream with rose-metallic stripes).  I noticed a tiny hole in this sweater while wearing it, so unless I can repair it without making it visible, it's out too.

On the one hand, it's good to wear my clothes until they wear out.  On the other hand, I wish they lasted longer.

All thoughts and comments are welcome!

I think these are all really cute. Definitely wear them until they fall apart! How do boyfriend jeans wear out? I thought the "worn out" look was part of the charm?

    Thanks Carter -
I like the distressing in the boyfriend jeans, but now the knees are faded and thin and they look "worn out" rather than just "distressed" to me.  Do they in the photos?  They're so comfy, I'll probably keep wearing them....

I'm not sure on the track pants as they have always been a little out of my own comfort zone. That said, I have looked casually at some wondering of the comfort factor just recently... I'd try to style them with a semi-tucked white feminine style sleeveless top. I think if it was sort of a feminine style top and you wore them with sandals they could be a sort of dressy casual look.

I agree that the studs date the second top.

I think those BF jeans look fine - can you roll them up more (maybe hem them if needed?) They'd seem more current to me rolled up above the ankle.

The last outfit looks good to me. Hope you can repair your sweater (don't you hate those little holes that seem to magically form in so many knits?)

Yay, glad to see you back! I like all these looks a lot. I think the jeans look fine, you are just getting them distressed!

Glad to hear you had a nice trip. What about tapering the bottom of the track pants a bit - if you wanted to bother.

I would be all over #3 if I could wear Cons.

If the knees on the jeans bug you, you could cut them off to be shorts?

Welcome back! :D Frankly, I like all the looks (altho I think #1 would be better with flats) and don't think any are out of fashion - not quite yet ;) But if they're getting worn, time to go.

Another vote for *all look awesome*! I love that blue studded top ... I have it in black :D. So please keep. Let's wear it together ;)

Glad you had a great time with family!
