WIW: red and olive, Blogger inspired.

Inspired to try red jeans with an olive jacket by BeverlyLikeHills.

Does it work? Suggestions for improvement?

This is the one remaining striped top that I haven't photo'd with these jeans. But it also is too short to stay tucked in well, so it's not making the regular rotation cut, and will be tossed in the probation bin after today.

The first outfit made me gasp! Love everything about it, pure perfection!

The second one i great too, but if the top doesn't work, it doesn't. You have plenty of other cute tops tough!

Well done Amy! I love that color combo and your interpretation was spot on!

That's a fab interpretation! Too short tops drive me crazy but you can't tell from the picture that yours was giving you any trouble.

Thanks you all! I just love BeverlyLikeHills outfits, and it's pretty rare where I see one and say "whoa, I think I have pieces to re-create that", so when I do, I have to try.

I so want her hair. I think next time I get a pro cut, I'll be taking in her pic.

Well done on the inspiration and you've inspired me, although I don't have the olive tops you do. You look so good in these red jeans and as Claire said, the way you styled the striped top in #2, doesn't show its short length. Time to go check out that blog now.

Ooh! I've pinned your inspiration for inspiration. :) I really love your version, too. The stripes go so well with red!

I originally could not guess who was the blogger and I really like what you've done. I understand if an item annoys during wearing (untucking etc..) it must go.

what thoughts do folks have on pairing red and olive? i always fear it will read too christmas-y, any shades of red you lean towards for this pairing?

GREAT interpretation of the inspiration outfit Amiable! Those red jeans are definitely earning a place in your wardrobe :)

(Liv, I have no problems pairing red and olive. Any shade of red could work, but a bright true red, bright tomato red, or burgundy pair especially well.)
