WIW: Reviving Jackets

The realization that I haven't worn jackets all winter made me wonder whether I still like them (or whether they still fit).  So I decided to try to make outfits that I actually like out of a couple more jackets.  Or at least one more (today).

I chose my navy suede jacket, and originally paired it with yellow jeans, to play off the gold stitching.  But it looked bad.  I switched to green jeans, and think it plays more nicely.  The gray top is also an orphan, and I'm not sure it's a keeper, even though I like the collar.  (The hem looks a little frumpy to me)

What do you think?

Love the jacket with the jeans. Not sure I'm loving the shirt. The hem does look a little stretched out or something.

I think I agree with Carter's comment - I really love the jacket though. This suggestion is to my taste as I'm still getting familiar with everyone's style, but maybe something a little crisper under it - white, or a stripe? (I have stripe issues, so ignore that one if they are not your thing!).

Ooh - I like the idea of stripes.  I have a couple of other options - I'll donate this top.  (Learning that most orphans are orphans for a reason :)  )

I really like the colours in this outfit, especially #2 with the grey sneakers.  Favouriting for later :D

Love those jeans, Amy!  The whole outfit works well -- the hem isn't bothering me.  I'm guessing the knit is really lightweight.

#2 is great. Thumbs are up, up, up.

Thanks Angie and everyone.  #2 is how I'm planning to wear it out on my date tonight, but I needed the shoes in #1 for working today.

Beth Ann, the knit is mid-weight - just barely heavier than a tee shirt.  But the collar makes it seem like it should be more sweater-weight.  Maybe that's why it's gotten no wear this winter.

The hem is actually not stretched out - it just hangs funny on me.

Absolutely LOVE that jacket on you… please keep! Look #2 is stellar. You rock it! Enjoy your date night.

Jacket and jeans are great. You have the longest legs. Noice!

For me jacket wearing related to the weather - below much below 70 and I am in a coat. #2 is great!

Totally understand about jackets. I haven't been wearing mine this winter, either. And it's weather related, as Shevia says -- plus occasion related. I would wear mine in cold weather in the city under my wool coat. But for casual at home days when it is SUPER cold I need my puffer and prefer layers of knits for coziness under that.

This one looks great on you and I am glad you gave it a rescue!

It must be the weather, yes? #2 is very cute! #1 is very close, but the shoes do make a difference.

High-five fellow work clog wearer!  I totally understand their practicality, but the sneakers are just that much more fab on tall and leggy you.

Big jacket fan here -- and blue suede?  Swoon.
