WIW: summer dress (and others)

It's definitely summer dress weather - 95 for two days in a row.  Somehow we're fools, and are resisting on the air conditioning - after all, next week is forcast to be cool!  :)

So summer dressing it is - and this formula is definitely the coolest.

My goal this week (after Tuesday, that is), was to not wear any clothing that I complain about.  That means that I have no blue denim shorts - so it's turning into a no blue denim challenge :)

#1 wearing today , to clean the basement, ha.

#2 pink with black and white.  Not a big fan of this one - I'm having troubles toughening up the pink to my liking (and it's a bright florescent pink, not as light as in the pic).

#3 My BethAnn tee with green.  I wore this also yesterday, but with white shorts

#4 Worn to the dentist - my workhorse shorts that I dislike the whiskering, and a hot pink mesh sweater.  I'm actively looking to replace these shorts, but if I fail, I'll overdye them.

I'd love feedback and suggestions :)

#1 looks awfully good for cleaning the basement! :) #2 isn't my favorite, but I'm not a pink girl, so that might be why. I like the graphic black and white shirt though. What about pairing it with white bottoms? I like #3 quite a bit. I bet that top looks great with the white bottoms also. #4 is a little dark on my monitor, but (to me) it feels like a little too much volume on volume? I think those denim shorts would be super awesome with just a white v-neck tee, black belt and the sandals you have on.

Amy, these outfits are really great - casual but polished and put together.  Fave is number 3 - colours are nice on you.  The Birks are fab on you.  The whiskering doesn't bug me on the shorts but IKWYM, if something bugs you it's annoying.  I wonder if overdying would work?   Good luck in the hunt for a replacement!

Now this is fab summer dressing! Like you I resist the A/C at home. My office is so cold that I crave the warmth when I get home.

I think these all work really well. I'm particularly fond of the pink cropped pants. And aren't Birks the best?

Very nice! My fav is #3, I love the colors.

I am a big sissy in the heat --- crank 'er up, baby, no matter the cost!
    I admire your midwestern fortitude!

I love your "Beth Ann" tee.  hee.  This top is going into my travel capsule for my western trip, since it's incredibly versatile -- dressing it up and down is a piece of cake!  I love your styling here!

I like the dress in #1 a lot -- the shape and fit are modern and easy.  And I hope it was cool!

As for the pink pants -- what about lower contrast?  White, cream or pale silvery grey?

I think all of these are great! I am not a pink person usually, but I really like how you styled them!

Wow, you are super fashionable! Loving all the looks. The birks I think are key. A touch of trendy keeps it lively :)

I run the AC,but at I like a nice 78D. Yup,I keep it really warm. But I run it to keep the pollen and dust out.
Anyway, I'm loving the pastel bottoms, especially with rather strong colors in the tops.
And a great idea for next week, no complaints week. I should try that at work!
