WIW: to join the crowd

On Sunday, I wore black and white stripes with neon pink pants (#1).  It was kind of like driving a newly purchased used car - suddenly, I saw others, everywhere, wearing the same basic formula.  High contrast stripes with a bright.  It was everywhere.
But I still liked it anyway.  And it made me want to keep wearing that formula.

So I did - just in less constrasty variations.   Monday I wore gray and black stripes over lime green (#2) (but changed to black later to play in the yard, #3). Today I'm wearing light and mid gray stripes over yellow (#4-5).  But the proportions don't work - the top is too short for pants, I think.
What are your suggestions for improvement?

Also - do the pink sandals qualify as "nude", and can I wear them as a neutral?

Photos? Looking forward to seeing these outfits. I love this formula but feel nervous about trying it for some reason.

Great stripey and bright outfits! #2 is my favorite, and the sandals work. They match your skin, and don't stand out. YLF!

Yes, I think the pink sandals can be a neutral. I like them with all the outfits you have shown. Great summer formula for you!

Well, I'm a sucker for colored pants (and for stripes)! I love all of these, but #1 and #2 are really fantastic! Also a sucker for pink, so I definitely see these shoes as a neutral. I may copy #1 today. I want some lime green shorts now!

I love this parade of stripes! You look great. All so well done. Great tops, great shapes. I think that pink can qualify as nude.

Like all the stripey looks! I love the green shorts on you and the pink sandals are definitely a neutral!

Really love this look on you. I'm especially digging #2 with the gray, green and neutral pink all together.

Especially love the blue shoes and yellow pants together in #4.

You look great, Amy. A fab set of ultra casual cropped bottoms in fun colours. And what's not to love about stripes. A truly timeless pattern.

I don't think the pink sandals qualify as nude or neutral. But you CAN wear them as if they are.

I've been feeling a little guilty about all my colored pants, but not any more because I LOVE yours. And your striped tops! And your pink sandals! (Ok, getting over - excited here...Now I'm better. Your posts often have this effect on me.)

Ooh I'm so in love with #1, the stripes and pastels mix is a fab formula on you.

These look great, I can see why you want to keep wearing the formula! #1 (love those sandals with the outfit) and #4 (fabulous color combo) are my favorites. I agree that the pink doesn't read as nude nor neutral, but it will "go" with a lot of your colors so you could treat it as a neutral in the same way many treat red as such.

Amy you look lovely in those outfits! It's a good thing you joined the crowd because you can totally rock it! The first and last outfits are my faves!
