WIW: Tomboy wear

Still playing with the style descriptor "Happy Tomboy".  I'm not sure it's the end-all be-all descriptor for me (I almost wonder if a style descriptor for me is something that might change seasonally).  But I'm enjoying it for the moment anyway.

Here's today's tomboy outfit.  It's a bit warm for jeans yet, but it's been way too long since I dealt with my leg hair, and I had to go out in public.  So jeans it is.

I also dug out my fisherman sandals - they didn't get worn at all this summer, and almost got purged.  But they squeaked by as my only sandals that bookend my hair, and because they're so comfy.  I think I'll wear them coming into fall as it cools down - they really are too warm for sandals.

What do you think?  Ways to improve?  Ways to up the 'happy tomboy'?

This is a very stylish happy tomboy look! I like the way you are able to balance the masculine with nicely fitting jeans and such a colourful bag!

I used to have fishermen sandals - and they are really warm! My dad started to wear them because he liked them for gardening; there wasn't much dirt that got into the footbed because of how closed off they are! :)

I hope you had a nice day "in public" :)

I like this look a lot on you. I think it is fine to have different descriptors/personas depending on the season!

Great happy tomboy-outfit! I love how the bag adds felinity, and the colors are great for your complexion and hair. The sandals are cool, no need to toss them yet.

Great happy tomboy! How may your style change as the weather cools off? I'll be watching with interest.

I've been guilty of dressing around leg hair!

CobaltBlue - I have no idea if my style will change - I was just reflecting on some words from Angie - She's the "Urban Prince", but this fall has said that this fall she's going for "Ladylike Bond girl".  And it made me realize that a style descriptor doesn't have to be for all time, and in fact, it might very well be seasonal.

The idea of having a descriptor at all is new to me - "Happy Tomboy" came to me a few weeks ago, and I liked it right away.  Angie's "Tough or Pretty" post made me decide to start using it on the forum and see whether people thought it fit my style reasonably.

Ooh, I love this! And I really like your descriptor, too. Even if you end up tweaking it along the way, I think it is working here. Envious of your army jacket!
