WIW: transitioning to spring

A few outfits from the past two weeks as we transition to warmer weather - nothing too special or outstanding, except that I liked them enough to snap a picture.

#1 Navy dress over jeans, white cardigan and pearls. This was the first outing of my summer espadrilles too.

#2 a fancy date with my hubby! The black pants are wide and floaty - I don’t really know what to call them. But they move in fun and floaty ways, and for this I love them. The pearls are from our wedding nearly 20 years ago.

#3 the first day that I considered “shorts weather” (never mind that my kids have been wearing shorts since February). I noticed that both my shorts and top are a little big now, and they might get purged for this, I haven’t quite decided.

#4 Easter outfit to church this morning. It’s a comfortable repeat.

#5 was for a Friday night outing - leather jacket (the lemming one from years ago), lace, pearls and black jeans.

All comments welcome, and as the weather warms, I’m looking forward to giving my warmer weather clothes some wear!

Loving the lace top in pic 5! And you look very happy in the pic with hubby.

Super cute and 4 is pure polish. Love the pic of you and your hubby - he’s very handsome! - y’all are looking a little American Gothic there, posed like that :)

Looking good, Amy! Very spiffy in your palazzo pants for date night.

#1 and #5 are my faves! Great proportions :)

You look great! How lovely to get to wear your wedding pearls on a date night--yay! It would be a shame to toss out the plaid long shorts in #3 (because the print and style is so fun)--I wonder if they could work with a more cropped top, or would that just highlight their roominess?

Great set of pictures! I like them all but the top in #4 looks a bit big. I like the shorts a lot - you can always take them in a bit.

I also like 1 and 5 best. Very different from each other, but suit you perfectly.

The orange and gingham outfit is my favorite! Maybe also try with black shoes or white sneakers?

YLF! My faves are 2, 3 and 5. The shorts are super cute.

What are the shoes in 3 (the shorts outfit)? I have my eye out for something similar.

I envy that you are able to go out anywhere, especially to church. Holy Week was very strange this year. On top of everything else we have a new pastor and Spanish priest. I stayed up late watching the Easter Vigil streaming live. There were 10 baptisms which made for a late night. The service was bilingual and I have a new respect for the Spanish prayers and music.
I like all your outfits, especially the first one and #4.

Favorites are 2,3 & 4  with 3 being my favorite  Love the overall look

2 your floaty pants look familiar to me  I think I had a pair  loved them until they wore out.

So sweet that you still wear your pearls  how fun is date night

    Thanks you all!

@Brooklyn - the sandals are Taos, probably two years old?  (I don't quite remember)

@Joy - yes, we're blessed to live in a low population density area that had a relatively short Covid shut-down last spring, but only for a bit over two months, and has not shut back down!

Taos, excellent. I haven’t tried their sandals but their boots work for me. I’ll keep an eye out. Thanks.
