A few WIWs

My camera is acting up, so I only have a few pics from this week, and they're nothing special.  It was kind of a tough week, so I threw on whatever seemed handy most days :)

The purple (#3-4) is a somewhat failed attempt at a candy-copycat (from MaryK and K period).  Theirs was better :)

The column of black (#2) was a day that I needed armor.  I wore armor the next day too - a very similar column, only with ink pants and black sweater.

And #1 is just a new-to-me sparkly sweater with the same ink pants that later repeated with the black sweater and stompy boots.

That's it - just keeping myself accountable and using this rare instance where my camera is connecting to the computer properly to get pics uploaded.

I like 1 and 2 just fine. They are good MOTG and the boots rock! The necklines seem to be fighting in the last outfit.

Well I particuarly like #2.  There is something just so effortless about this look.
#1 looks good, simple and not too much going on.
#3/4 I think is just not quite there, the necklines do seem to compete with one another and just might pefer it with a skinnier pant.

I love #2 too. Those boots look lovely on you! #1 is good too. #3 would have been perfect with either one of the tops I think :)

#2 is fab -- Ceit-like armor, I think, done your way.

What about a sleeve scrunch and faux tuck for #1?  The sweater is pretty, but seem a bit large.  As for 3 --- I have difficulty with finding sweaters with just the right length, too.  The sweater seems a twinge light and short for the layering treatment.  It would look great worn under a jacket!

Hope there's less need for armor next week!

I actually really like 3/4!  You may recall that K and I both wished our top-layer sweaters were shorter (like the inspiration in my post), and you nailed that aspect of it!  And I am unperturbed by the contrasting necklines - I think it's kid of cool.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the stompy boots!!

And I adore you and your little sidekick in your stripes in #1!

I am smitten with Armoured Aimy. Wow!

You rock the outfit in pic 2!

For pic 1, what about adding a scarf to the outfit? I feel like the neckline is a bit on the wide side; I sometimes add a scarf to make extra space less noticeable. I like the sparkly stripes!

Love #2! And those boots!!!!!!! To die for! You look fab in black too :)

Actually 3/4 are the ones I like most although I think they are all good.  Bada$$ boots for the win!

#2 is my favorite. Armor suits you!

Of course you know I love 2!

I like them all.  The sweater in #1 looks warm and cozy and very versatile.  I love the black outfit in #2 (I love black on me and others).  I actually like #3/4.  I like the shorter sweater so you can see more of the striped shirt underneath.

#2 is awesome!! I need some armour like that.

Agree with Beth Ann about #1. Scrunch those sleeves, baby!

Wow. I really like the lines and proportions in #3 and #4. The layered V-neck looks amazing over the stripe with the fluid wide legs. Fashion forward and different. Killer, and I'm impressed. And bless your perfect pant lengths

You look warm and ready for whatever the day brings. I especially like 2 and the armor idea. I agree with Gigi that the wide neckline of 1 is not ideal, but the sparkle is fun. You could also pair the top with your red jeans...or white.

Love 1 and 2. I think the sparkly stripe sweat has super potential for wear even with a skirt for a fun dressed up oversize top look. I kind of like the really open almost ballet neckline.

  • carambola replied 10 years ago

I like all of these! Adore #2 as is. I love Joy's suggestion of pairing the sweater in 1 with white or cream. You might also try 3/4 with a scarf for a different neckline.

I like them all, but especially #2. Armor indeed.

Love #1 and 2!  Especially the soft sweater in #1.  Great find.  #3/4 is fun, and the sweater is a lovely shade of purple, but I'm not loving the two necklines together.  I love the voluminous pants, though.  I think you look statuesque in them.
