WIW: boyfriends

Today was pear-picking day (the last crop to harvest, I think!)  I decided to give this flannel plaid one last chance before purging it.  It's too short to be a jacket, but it seemed to me to work pretty well tucked today.  What do you think, does it earn it's keep?  (It's a boy's size, and unlike most button-down shirts, it's long enough to stay tucked in.  I think I'll be visiting the boys department for more tuck-in button-downs).

For evening activities, I decided to go more refined and switched to a black belt and shoes, and a colorblocked top.  But I think the sag of the boyfriends kind of ruins the refinement of the look :(

(Also showing a new-to-me bag.  I love the structure and the shape, and am considering painting the stripes white instead of tan.   The black, too, is tired-looking and could use a polish).

I'd love suggestions!  :)

I like the flannel tucked.  Just love you in blue and brown.  I think I've said that before :)  I agree with you about the BFs not really right with the sweater.

I think the shirt is great! You look really cute in it.

I think your cuffs need to be a bit narrower on the BF. I like the plaid shirt, and I think it works with the sweater but I would have tried your strappy sandals or your booties and a black belt.

Ahh - that makes sense that it's the shoes and the BFs clashing.

Thanks for the advice!  (and I'll shorten up the BFs so that the cuffs can be narrower - they're almost full length unrolled now, which is quite a bit longer than they need to be)

    You are Princess Adorable.

I just love you in #1. My word. You pull off that look to perfection. You are fashion forward in that outfit. Killer.

I really love the plaid shirt on you. That bluish grey color is great with your complexion. I like the second outfit too, but yes, I'd probably choose different pants :)
