WIW: Cropped Pants

In keeping the spirit of today's ensemble, I tried out my black cropped pants, with a hi-low hem top.

I have a few questions:

  • Are these pants the right length?  I fear they may be too short for the look? (just measured: they're exactly four inches above the top of my ankle bone)
  • Are the shoes ankle-accentuating enough?  I'm watching for the right pair of black sandals (a bit more dressy than my birkenstocks).  Haven't found them yet.
  • Does the outfit work?
  • New "hibiscus" Burts Bees chap stick - does the color work?

Next haircut in a week, though I did adjust my headband after this picture, so that my hair is less "square".

    I think you did a great job with the ensemble - I don't know about the pant length  exactly, so I defer to others, but maybe it could be just one inch longer to be at 4" above the ankle bone? The shoes are great and definitely drew my attention in a good way.

    Very nice! I don't know if that is the best length (I'll be following to see what the others think) but it is very flattering to my eye. I think the whole thing works great. What cute shoes.

    I love the shoes! I don't know anything sbout pant length, unfortunately.

    Very nice!
    I think the pant length is fine- the lower vamp on your shoe is showcasing more skin so more attention is drawn to your lower leg.

    Not to sound weird, but you have alluring ankles.  the pant length looks right to my eye.  The Burt's Bees looks good too.

    2-4 inches is the range, in general, so I think you're good to go!  Most of my crops are just on the long side --- but I think looking "deliberate" is the most important thing.  From what I can tell, the lippie is fresh and lovely.  This outfit makes it mark with your legs-for-days!  I could see one piece of jewelry added to the mix -- a cuff, long necklace?

    Thanks to everyone else too - I felt good wearing this today, and think I'll keep these crops around for now :)

    That top is great...I love the assymetrical hem.  I also love the pants and the shoes with it. I'm not an expert on pants length but they look good to my eye.

    I think this is gorgeous!  The cropped length looks good to me.  I also don't mind my crops a little longer but hey!  You are have a lovely long leg line and I find these very flattering :)
