WIW: in a Shannon copycat attempt

I wanted to copy Shannon's look yesterday, but couldn't find my mesh-sleeved sweater.  (It turns out that I left it at my in-laws a few weeks ago when my littlest fell, got a bloody mouth, and I changed shirts super quick to not get blood on the white one).

So I wore this instead.  It's the same color scheme, just not a mesh sweater.

I met a good friend at a coffeehouse for a very therapeutic (and long) chat.  I feel so much more human now!

Today, I started with jeans and a tee - with bookending belt and shoes.  But I decided the tee was frumpy, relegated all of my winter tees to either layering or loungewear, and wore a sweater the rest of the day.  But I didn't take a new pic...

You look great in both outfits! The red belt adds a fun spark to outfit 2.

Love your semi-tucks! You are clearly an experienced mother too!

Let's hear it for girlfriend time!  Nothing better at the end of a long week.
Both these look have your causal signature:  easy, but not sloppy fits, jeans that highlight your long legs, strong, but simple shoes and an artful tuck with belt.

I hear you about tees -- I think it's hard to just upsize for a looser fit.  The fabrics just sag, they fail to drape.  I have issues, as I think you do too, with getting them long enough, particularly after washing.  I've had pretty good luck with the Daisy Fuentes tees at Kohls recently.

    You wear white really well!

Spot on, Beth Ann!  Thank you for the suggestion (and of course you're right - a long enough tee shirt is my holy grail!).  This particular tee shirt was too thin and shapeless and not drapey enough.  I'm still holding on to the idea that if a tee shirt has enough weight, it'll drape well.  But I have plenty of light-gauge sweaters for winter, and really don't think that I'll need to do the tee-shirt thing.  I guess we'll see :)
