WIW: Red white and blue

I didn't remember to finish laundry in time to wear yesterday red and blue with the white belt today.

Lucky for me, I have lots of red white and blue.

So here's two orphans, in a patriotic mix.  Does it work?  (I'm personally wishing that I had a cooler red top that was clean - maybe I'll change in a few hours).

(And yes, the skirt is an altered men's shirt.  I think I like it.... But it's going to wrinkle up terribly with wear.)

That skirt is so clever. You're right it's going to wrinkle like crazy but who cares. It's light and cool for a hot day.

I'm intrigued.  Can you post more pics to show how the shirt was altered to make the skirt?

Wow! So clever! Love the skirt. In fact I really like this outfit. Fit looks good as do the proportions.

Amiable, the thumbnail in the sidebar caught my eye and I had to swing over. This outfit is so well done. The proportions, balance of colour, and A-line skirt are all flattering and lively. Well edited too, no excess of ornamentation and accessories. Really lovely!

That's a terrific version of "shirt to skirt."`  Perhaps with a no-wrinkle shirt?

I love the look as is -- vibrant and fun, but a classic silhouette that prevents a "costumey" feel.  You could wear it with a white t, for a little cooler outfit.  The red in the shoes is enough, I think!

    Happy 4th!

You look bright and fresh and what a great idea for a shirt!

Fresh and patriotic too. I 'm fascinated by the shirt skirt.
