WIW: Weekend jeans standoff

Since I'm in dejunking mode, I decided that three pair of weekending "grub" jeans is too many.  

So here's all three.  Which are keepers?

#1-2 7ForAllMankind, nice big pockets, super comfy, but do they look like mom jeans?

#3-4 BKE, require a belt, I like the back flaps and the distressing.

#5-6 X2, nice big pockets, they're not as weirdly colored as the front pic looks - that's the sun shining through the leaves making weird spots.  The legs are wide and straight rather than tapered like the other two.

What do you think?  I'd like to keep one, maybe two pair (if two are worth keeping - I'll probably only ever wear one in a wash cycle).

And look at that, my tag of my sweater was up all. day. long.

(p.s. So far, thirty bags of stuff has either been donated or sold from our house, woot!)

    My preferences are #1, followed by #2, then #3.  I guess I just don't care for wide jeans; wide and drapey (i.e. not jeans) is okay.  In picture #3, it looks like your belt is pulling up the jeans too much in front.  I would also worry about losing pens through those pocket holes!  Unless space is an issue, I would keep two pairs of grubby jeans in case the first pair suffered a mishap early in the day of an all-day project.  I know; my paranoia about *what ifs* that never happen.

    I would say keep 1 and get rid of 2 and 3. 2 bunches at the crotch, and I find the cut of 3 awkward.

    Great job on the decluttering! I need to do some.

    I concur with DonnaF - actually like 1 on you a lot. With your nose for thrifting, you'll probably run across another pair that you like even better than what you decide to keep.

    And 30 bags of stuff? How jealous am I? Very!

    See - I'm glad I asked.  #1 is the most comfy (I think of them as my BFF jeans - even though they're a relatively recent acquisition, I feel so comfy with them).  But I thought #3 was probably the best looking.  I'll keep #1.  :)

    I vote #1 also.These look very cool. I think to qualify as Mom jeans they need to be much higher in the waist and much baggier in the butt!
    #2 looks too big for you and #3 seems to be fitted in the back but baggy everywhere else

    I made my decision before reading the other posts, then went and read them, and I think we mostly agree. Keep #1, purge #2 and #3. I like the first pair a lot, they look great on you.

    I didn't even look at the other responses. I would keep #1 -- the others have earned a retirement. :-)

    #3 to donate pile. 
    #2 deserve another chance IF you have space to store them.

    Amiable, take my opinion with a grain of salt, because I'm new, but I think all three look too big for you.  The first ones look cute in the back, but the front isn't as flattering.  Can you roll the cuffs so they look more like BFs?

    Congrats on the decluttering. I actually like 3 the best, the wider legs seem more weekendy to me. To my eye, the slimmer leg but in a baggy size just looks neither here nor there, neither slim nor boyfriendy.

    I think #1 is okay and I also like #3.  I am a mom-on-the-go with a lot of jeans and I enjoy having a couple of wide-legged ones in my collection.  They are really relaxed and comfy on the weekends and if you're doing a project where you need to move, sit on the floor, etc. a lot they can be nice also.  I don't think the rear view of #2 is very flattering to you - they look too big and the pocket placement (wide set with flaps) I think is not the best.

    HaHa, I'm the only one that likes #3.  Sounds like you have the jeans situation sorted.  30 bags..very impressive.
